STDs, STIs, AND YOUR HEALTH

Protect Yourself

If you’re a woman and sexually active, getting tested isn’t just smart—it’s essential. Every year, around 20 million new STDs/STIs are reported in the U.S., and nearly half happen in people ages 15 to 24. The truth is, you can have an STI like chlamydia or gonorrhea and not have any symptoms at all. That’s why regular testing matters, even if you feel totally fine.

Student Testing: Protect yourself and your future with free testing for students—just bring your high school or college ID.

Low-Cost Testing: Protect yourself and your partner with affordable testing for women—just $30. No insurance needed.

Date Rape Testing: Protect yourself with confidential, no-cost testing and compassionate care when you need it most. Receive test strip(s) to let you know if someone has spiked your drink with Ketamine (special k) or GHB (liquid e). Either of these drugs is tasteless, odorless, and is used in drug-assisted sexual assault.

Take 30 minutes for your health. Get tested today.

WHEN SHOULD I GET TESTED?

You need to get tested if:

  • you've recently had unprotected sex

  • you've had a change in partners

  • you have experienced itching or burning in your pelvic area

  • you are pregnant

  • you have scheduled an abortion or are considering an abortion

You may need to get tested including if you have no symptoms or consistently use a condom. Sex always carries the risks of STIs and STDs, including oral and anal sex.

CONTRACEPTIVES

Condoms reduce the risk of contracting some STD/STIs, but they do not provide full protection. Many people are misinformed and think that condoms or other barrier methods eliminate the risk completely. Learn more about how you can protect yourself from risks to your health and your future.
